I am happy with the front cover that I have made. I think that  it was good for the reason that I made it for and looks suitable for a football magazine. I based my magazine on others that I had seen. This is important because this meant that it was effect my research and allowed to to create a template of what I needed to include and what wasn't needed. This means that when people see it they know that it professional like fourfourtwo, match of the day.

One thing that I like on my magazine is the big image on the front of my magazine. I was able to use the eraser tool. this is good because I was able to get rid of the background so that on the magazine I was able to put what I wanted around him. 

The  next thing that is good about my magazine is the text that I have used. The font that I have used makes the magazine professional and I used fonts that other magazines that are used. the text is also good because it helps to lead onto the rest of the stories in the magazine and makes people want to read inside of it. 

I am also happy with my double page spread. I believe that I have made it good and is very professional. I have created 2 A4 sides. on one side of  this double page spread is the image. To take this image I used my phone and a tripod to make sure that I was able to get a still shot and make it look  professional. On the other side I have written an article about the positives and negatives of grass roots football. 

One strength of my magazine is my photo. This is good because it is commonly used by magazines so that the whole of the article isn't just words it has a good picture to keep people from not getting bored or geting disinterested

does my product meet the client brief?   
I believe my magazine does meet the brief that was set for me as the local football theme covers the topics of community and inclusion. which I discuss the local teams in area which means that people who read it will get to know about the sports in the local community. have  also done this by making a front cover and double page spread which was asked for me to do. I also talk about all different teams in the area. I have done this by talking about the local area and making sure that I didn't involve anything that is out of the close area. I also did this because I know that the people in the area would be interested in them . 

conventions 
one convention that I have used is using the big picture in the middle of the page this is used in a large range of magazines as it is a huge draw to the magazine. the next convention that I used was a masthead at the top of my front cover so I am able to show my brand of magazine. I have put the bar code in the bottom corner of the magazine because it was similar to ones that I had seen before. I have also put strap line for all the articles in the magazine so people want to read the rest of the stories 
software 
For my magazine I will use Photoshop. I will use this because it has features that is needed to try and make the best magazine possible. one feature that I could is the easer tool I used this because then I was able to remove the white background from my image then I was able to put it onto the front of my magazine. Another feature that I used was to change the colour of the different aspects of the magazine. this is important because then I was able to make my magazine look a lot more interesting and will draw in a lot more people. another feature that helped me was being able to add n photos. This is important because then it means that my magazine isn't just words and will have images onto it.
File format
I have I exported this as a PDF this is good because this means that I was able to keep the quality of the images high. This is good because this means that the magazine will look very professional and will look the best possible. This is good when needing distribute the magazine as I am able to upload the magazine to a range of different places in the best way I can. I have saved it as a PDF because it means that people are unable to edit the magazine or change it this allows it to be kept professional.

M2 legal and ethical constraints

One legal constraint is the copyright. For a magazine you would need to do this for the images that you use. I must make sure that the pictures that I have use are either taken and owned by me or if I use images that are owned by other people that I ask for their permission. This is important because if I do this then the images will be taken off my magazine and the magazine will be taken away. This is bad because this will mean that the company is given a bad reputation and could also lead to the owner of the picture taking the company to court and the company could be fined.

Another legal issue will be the release forms these will need to be signed by everyone that will be in the magazine. This is important because it is showing that they know that I will be using the image     that I will be using what it’s for and where it will be going. If they sign it, they will be showing that they are alright with me using their image on my magazine.

For the ethical reasons I will make sure that I don’t write anything that is false. I need to make sure that is when I do an interview with the player. This is important because I don’t want to write and say that they said something they didn’t say. This could make the player look bad and might get the player into trouble

Another way that could be useful would be using consent forms this is good because then i will write down everything that the model needs to know what I will be doing with this magazine and who it will be going to this is important because then they will know everything and will need to sign and agree with what I am doing before I use there picture

The first question that I have had in my questionnaire was “which gender are you”, this allowed me to see the genders. This was important because I wanted to try and get feedback from certain groups of people that helped find out the target audience. The next question was about the age of the person taking the survey this is important because this shows if the answers that I am getting are from the age range that I am aiming for. This allows me to look at their responses and see what good and bad. The next question I had was "do you like football" I had to ask because if people a lot of people weren't interested in football I would need to change what my magazine is about. The next question was "do you know your local football club" I asked this because if people didn't know I would know I what to include in my article. the next question was " do you ever read magazines" this is good because because if people say no then there would be know point in me making a magazine in this age range. last question I asked was "do you use social media" this is because then I know was a company where to connect the age range that I am aiming for.

The school field

The school field is a useful place to be able to take a picture because the picture that I want to take on the school field is of the goal posts. This is a good location because is a large field that would make a good place to be able to get the image that I want with the goal and the grass in the same picture. This allows me to be able to make my magazine look professional and take the picture that would fit in with the magazine.

My house

This was a good place because I was able to pick a background to the picture so I could take the best picture. This is good because it allows me to make the most professional image possible and will make my front cover look good. This good because I don’t need permission as it is in my own house and now that I am allowed take images there

Headline- I have put my headline at the top of my magazine as then It will attract the views and will get people to pick up my magazine and want to learn more about the story that is on the inside. I have also but it at the top so that it is the first thig people see when they pick it up

Sub headline- this will give a little bit about the story and so that they know a bit before they start reading the story

Background image- I have put a background image so that people will be able to see what genre the magazine is and will make them know what is going to be in the magazine

Social media links- so that they will be able to see what the company are putting on the social media and learn more

Main image- I have put a large image on one side of the spread so that they can see who is doing the interview and can see what it is like so they can easily imagine it

Text- I have put the text there so that it is right next to the image of the person that will be doing the interview and so that they are able read about them and can put facts and the story in this part

Colours- The colours for my magazine will be blue and white as them two colours work well together


fonts- the fonts that I used where very basic for my magazine very basic and I made sure that the font that I chose look professional and looked and was similar to ones used in other magazines  

M1- I will meet the needs of the client by talking about football in the local community. This is good because because this allows me to meet the brief and will help because it will involve inclusion because this is showing people that they can see what they can get into and see what the good and bad and see if they want to get into grassroots football. I will advertise my article by using social media. This is an effect way because this is a good way for me to able to tell people of the target age about my magazine and will be good because it will reach a large amount of people as it allows them to share it with each other and will get the magazine widely spread and will be able to get to large amounts of people in there area. another way that I could advertise is in the local newspaper this is good because it means that everyone in the area will know about it. The way that I will generate money is by selling adverting space. This will be good because people will want to get there company names out there and will pay to try and do this. I will distribute this magazine online to people that subscribe to the company and then will email then a copy of the magazine as a PDF because it is a suitable way to send it.

 

P1- produce a proposal

Working Title: The working title that we have is “grassroots” this may change but that is what it is for the moment. It is a very obvious title which tells the audience that it is about grassroots football.

Genre: The genre of our magazine is sport because it is about grass roots football and anyone who is interested in football will watch it. This means that even people who watch football and people who even know the players.

Content: This magazine will be about grassroots football. This will involve an article about the current situation and about the positive and the negative. During it we will have interviews with some of the people who play for the team that we will be following.

Style or Approach: The style of this magazine will have a title very large at the top of my front cover  and I will have a colour scheme of white an blue

Audience: It will mostly for males but it is getting everyone involved into grassroots so it maybe for female football fans. the target age is 8-40 years old because that is the age that people normally play grassroots football

Length: The length of the this magazine will be a front cover and double page spread

Format: Documentary        I am going to create a magazine about grass roots football in my local area of maghull and lydiate. This will good because it will show what it is like to be part of the community. The purpose of doing this documentary will be to educate and inform  people about grass roots football
